As all of you Pokemon fans already know, there are many mysteries in the Pokemon world that have been around for years. The problem is that these mysteries can date back to the first Generation, where little to nothing in information and clues were provided to us players. Anything regarding the Legendaries were mainly Mew and Mewtwo, and even then we weren't necessarily been given much in what was the attempt of a puzzle. However, as time went by, more and more mysteries have been revealed about Mewtwo. Such an example would be Mega Evolution.

Think about it. A Pokemon, genetically created to be the strongest Pokemon, also happens to have Mega Evolution. And not just one Mega Evolution, but TWO of them. According to a report I have read about Mewtwo, and what I have seen, this is the result of Mewtwo's genetic code. However, it is not specifically known whether or not Mew is able to Mega Evolve. This I highly doubt, after all, how could Mew, the Pokemon said to hold all DNA of every Pokemon out there (with the possible exception of Arceus and it's respective trios), be able to evolve? The solution is rather simple.

As said before, Mew is the basic Ancestor of all pokemon, with the exception of Arceus and its respective trios. With that in mind, Mew CAN Mega Evolve, just not in it's default form. For it to Mega Evolve, it would have to transform and be holding the respective Mega Stone it would need to hold. Mew wouldn't be able to Mega Evolve in it's original form, because, as said before, it can already Mega Evolve through the use of it's transformation abilities. So for it to have a Mega Evolution in it's default form would be rather redundant and useless.

In which, the fact that Mew has the ability to Mega Evolve as another Pokemon answers how Mewtwo itself has the ability to Mega Evolve. However, this brings up the question; why does Mewtwo have two different Mega Evolutions, and not one? There are 26 Pokemon that can Mega Evolve, and most of them just have that one form. This is simple. Mewtwo isn't the only Pokemon who has two Mega Evolutions. There is another Pokemon who has two Mega Evolutions, and the Pokemon....is none other then Charizard. This can directly hook back with Mew and how it can Mega Evolve with a different method. With that in mind, Mewtwo's Genetic Code had came upon the chance to inherit  the ability to have two Mega Evolution forms like Charizard, which would subsequently, in the long run, would have come from Mew because it turn into any dang pokemon it wants (with the obvious exceptions).

Now I'm PROBABLY gonna hear you guys asking SOMETHING. I don't know WHAT, but it's SOMETHING. This is MEWTWO we're talking about here, not some other Pokemon. Bear in mind that Mewtwo was cloned from a Pokemon that can basically complete your pokedex in about a few hours. The chemical combination possibilities were endless when Mewtwo's genetic code was being made.

With that in mind, I hope this has shed some light on Mewtwo and Mew and how things came to be within the Pokemon Universe, because in real life, Game freak and Nintendo call all the shots. But it's up to US how we interpret what they shoot at us. Until next time!
A theory basis on Mew and Mewtwo and what I believe is the reason Mewtwo can Mega Evolve.
